A truck fell from a bridge in Pakistan, 14 people died, including 6 children

At least 14 people, including six children, were killed when a truck fell off a bridge in Pakistan’s Punjab province on Saturday due to dense fog. The accident took place at Kot Momin in Sargodha district, about 200 km from Lahore. According to the Punjab Emergency Service ‘Rescue 1122’ spokesperson, the truck was carrying 23 people, most of whom were members of the same family, who were traveling from Islamabad to attend a funeral in Faisalabad.

The spokesperson said, “The truck was going through a local route due to the closure of the highway due to heavy fog.” Due to the low level of visibility, the driver lost control of the vehicle and the vehicle fell into a dry canal from Galapur Bridge in Kot Momin Tehsil. He said that nine people were injured and they are being treated at the Civil Hospital in Kot Momin.
