A threat was received to blow up the historic Gurudwara of Patna, said on the phone – “4 RDX are kept in the Langar Hall…”

A sensational case has come to light in Patna, the capital of Bihar. The historic Takht Shri Harmandir ji Patna Sahib Gurdwara has received a bomb threat through e-mail. In the threatening mail it was written that “4 RDX are kept in anchor hall”. Slogans like ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ and ‘ISI Zindabad’ were also written in this mail, after which there was chaos in the Gurudwara premises.

A warning was given in the mail

The threat also said that all VIPs and employees should vacate the premises immediately. As soon as the information was received, the Gurdwara Management Committee immediately informed SSP Kartikeya Sharma of Patna. The police immediately swung into action and called bomb disposal squad and dog squad to the spot.

Even after a thorough search, no explosive material was found in the Gurudwara premises. The police are now trying to find out who sent the e-mail and from where. Chairman of the Management Committee Jagjit Singh called it someone’s mischief but still security has been increased in the entire Gurdwara complex.
