“From now on, I will see every woman as my mother” is among the most prominent dialogues by the prime character in the movie which has been beautifully played by Bollywood veteran Pavan Malhotra. Another heart touching dialogue which shows his devotion to the diseased and the needy is “I can’t let my patients die on roads. The least we can do is find a place for them so that they die with dignity.”
In the second half, the whole focus shifts to the foundation and functioning of Pingalwara, the house he ran for the destitute and the diseased. He decided to build such a place when the destitute and invalids of the post-Partition refugees had no roof over their heads and no person showed any mercy on them.
Some scenes of the movie especially where the original Pingalwara children have been included are really emotional and makes viewers connected with them.
Though an approximate two hours movie can’t cover all the chapters of Bhagat Puran Singh ji’s life but the movie does depict a great deal of realism via the tireless research done prior to making of the movie giving an authentic and genuine touch to the movie.
A telling tale of a man who refused to accept the Padma Shri award is reason enough for viewers to watch this film at the nearest theatre.
A very essential component of the movie which gives it an even more humane touch is its soulful music. The title song reveals how he was separated from God for many incarnations and wanted to devote this birth to the service of the Almighty.
A must watch, the film guarantees to strike a chord with the viewers and inspire all irrespective of age and background.
