In a significant action, the Punjab Police has arrested the parents of notorious gangster Goldy Brar. According to police sources, the arrests were made in a serious case involving extortion and death threats. The arrested accused have been identified as Shamsher Singh, son of Gurbaksh Singh, and his wife, Preetpal Kaur. They were detained in connection with an old case registered at the Sadar Police Station in Sri Muktsar Sahib district.
In his statement, the complainant, Satnam Singh, stated that he received a call from a WhatsApp number on the morning of November 27, 2024. The caller identified himself as a member of the Bambiha group and, upon confirming his identity, demanded a ransom of ₹50 lakh. The accused threatened to kill him and his family if he did not pay the money. The SSP of Sri Muktsar Sahib confirmed the arrest and stated that the parents of gangster Goldy Brar have been arrested. They were arrested in Amritsar.
