After the ongoing protests in Iran and the alleged intervention of the US in it, the relations between Iran and the US have become very tense. In response to the warning of possible military action by US President Donald Trump, Iran has now adopted a very aggressive stance. One such footage was aired on Iran’s state television, in which Trump is publicly threatened to be killed. This footage shows the image of Trump, which is related to the murderous attack on him during an election rally in the city of Butler, Pennsylvania, USA in 2024. Along with the picture, it is written in Persian language, “This time the target will not be missed and the bullet will go across the head.”

The poster was shown in the hands of a young man who attended the funeral of Iranian security personnel killed during the recent protests in Tehran. The program was broadcast on the Islamic Republic of Iran News Network (IRINN). During the ceremony, many people were holding banners saying ‘America is dead’ and some people were seen waving pictures of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. It is worth noting that the incident in Pennsylvania mentioned in the poster, a gunman named Thomas Crooks shot at Trump. However, the bullet missed Trump’s ear and he narrowly escaped. Regarding this incident, it was indicated in Iran’s official broadcast that the next attack will be deadly.
Iran’s name has been associated with assassination plots abroad before. Since the death of Iran’s top military commander General Qasem Soleimani in a US strike in January 2020, Iran has been vowing to take revenge on Trump. According to the US Department of Justice, an Iran-backed plot to assassinate Trump was foiled in 2024 after the arrest of a man named Farhad Shekeri. Court documents claimed that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) was behind the plot.
