Trump has announced that any country that does business with Iran will be imposed a 25% tariff (additional tax) on trade with America. This decision has been implemented immediately. The US President informed about this tariff by posting on his social media platform Truth Social.
Trump wrote on social media Truth, “Any country that does business with the Islamic Republic of Iran will have to pay a 25% tariff on all trade with America. This order is final and fully implemented.” Trump has described it as “final and conclusive” i.e. the final and without any change order.
White House clarifies military strike is also an option
White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt said President Trump always keeps all options open. She said, “Airstrikes are one of many options available to the President. However, diplomacy remains the President’s first priority.”
Trump is furious over the violence against protesters.
Donald Trump has been repeatedly warning the Iranian government against cracking down on anti-government protests there. He has threatened that if the violence against protesters in Iran does not stop, the US may take military action. On Monday, Trump said that the US is closely monitoring the situation and is considering military retaliation. When asked what the US would do if Iran attacked US military bases, Trump said, “We will hit them on a level they’ve never seen before.”

Iran accuses US and Israel of conspiracy
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian accused the United States and Israel of seeking to destabilize Iran by sowing unrest in the country. He said the government would listen to public grievances, but those who incite violence would not be tolerated. He appealed to Iranians to stay away from “rioters and terrorists.”
