The FBI said in its official statement that “The FBI and our law enforcement partners have foiled a possible New Year’s Eve terrorist attack in North Carolina. US Attorney Ross Ferguson told the press conference that the arrested accused has been identified as Christian Sturdivant. According to him, the accused had been planning the attack for about a year. Ferguson said that the accused was motivated by the mentality of “jihad” and if he was not stopped in time, many innocent people could have lost their lives.
