The prompt action of a brave and sensitive Madhya Pradesh Police officer saved the life of a young man. During the intervening night of December 29–30, 2025, Nagda Police Station in-charge Inspector Amritlal Gawli received information that a young man had hanged himself.
Understanding the gravity of the situation, Inspector Gawli immediately rushed to the scene. Finding the room’s door locked from the inside, he immediately broke the lock and entered. Inside, he found the young man hanging. The station in-charge immediately brought the young man down and administered CPR, after which he was immediately rushed to the hospital. This timely action saved the young man’s life. In recognition of the promptness, courage, human sensitivity, and high professional competence displayed by Inspector Amritlal Gawli, Madhya Pradesh Director General of Police Kailash Makwana has issued orders to honor him with a cash prize of ₹10,000.
After this incident, the work of Inspector Gawli is being appreciated in the police department and it is being described as an example of humanity and dedication.
