A long-distance passenger train in Andhra Pradesh was suddenly in crisis when a fire broke out inside the moving train. A fire broke out in two compartments of an express train traveling from Jharkhand’s Tata Nagar to Kerala’s Ernakulam. In this accident, one passenger lost his life, while two coaches were completely destroyed.

The incident took place near Yelamanchili area of Anakapalli district when the train was moving on its scheduled route. Suddenly smoke and flames started rising from B1 and M2 category coaches. As soon as the news of the fire came, there was a stampede among the passengers and people started to get out to save their lives.
Considering the seriousness of the situation, the loco pilot was immediately informed. As soon as the alert was received, the train was stopped on the spot. With the help of railway employees and local people, the passengers were evacuated safely and efforts were started to control the fire.
During the rescue, a dead body was recovered from a box. Anakapalli Superintendent of Police Tuhin Sinha has confirmed the death of a passenger. However, the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
After this accident, the railway and local administration team reached the spot and started handling the situation. The cause of the incident is being investigated, while arrangements have been made to send the rest of the passengers to safe places.
