A political storm seems to have erupted in Punjab after former chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh strongly criticised suspended Congress leader Navjot Kaur Sidhu, calling her claim of “Rs 500 cr for CM chair in Punjab” a “total lie” and describing both her and her husband as “unstable” in an interview with PTI.

“That couple is unstable. Navjot Sidhu was my minister. Despite being given two portfolios, he constantly complained. I even gave him the power department, but he quit and left files pending for months. He was not fit for the job,” Amarinder Singh said.
Responding sharply, Kaur took to X and questioned Amarinder Singh’s record, asking, “Now who’s mentally unstable and needs critical care?”
