A heart-wrenching case has come to light from Atkot in Rajkot district of Gujarat which has put humanity to shame. Nirbhaya-like brutality is repeated here with a 6-year-old innocent girl. This heinous incident took place on December 4, after which the police has arrested the accused showing readiness.
What happened that day?
The victim girl’s family is originally from Dahod district and does farm labor in a village of Atkot for livelihood. On the day of the incident, when the girl’s family was working in the field, the accused Ramsingh Tersingh came secretly and picked up the girl and took her to the field. The accused (30 years old) pressed the face of the girl and tried to rape her. When the innocent girl started screaming in pain, Tersingh, who became an animal, crossed the limit of cruelty. He put the rod in the girl’s private parts. After this, the accused fled from the spot leaving the girl bleeding and in serious condition.
Shortly after being hospitalized in a critical condition
, the girl’s family started searching for her and found the girl in an injured condition. The family immediately took the girl to a hospital in Rajkot, where treatment has been started considering her serious condition.
The police immediately took action, the accused was arrested
Rajkot Rural Superintendent of Police (SP) Vijay Singh Gurjar took the incident seriously. The police immediately registered a case under the POCSO Act and started searching for the accused. The accused was identified as 30-year-old Ramsingh Tersingh, who hails from Alirajpur in Madhya Pradesh. He used to work in the farm next to the farm where the girl’s family works.
Interrogation of 100 suspects,
the police formed a special team of 10 to solve the case and questioned about 100 suspects. During the investigation, the police produced 10 suspects before the girl under the supervision of child experts. During this, the innocent girl identified the accused Tersingh. According to the police, the accused Tersingh is already married and has a daughter and two sons. Police have arrested the accused and further legal action is being taken. This heinous crime has shocked the entire region and people are demanding severe punishment for the accused.
