The internal strife within the Punjab Congress has once again come to the fore. Following the suspension of Dr. Navjot Kaur Sidhu, wife of former Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Navjot Singh Sidhu, from the party, a legal notice has been sent to her by senior Congress leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa.
MP Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has sent this notice in connection with the serious allegations leveled against him by Dr. Sidhu. In the notice, Randhawa has given Dr. Sidhu a seven-day ultimatum to publicly apologize. Failure to do so has also threatened strict legal action against him.
Allegations of ‘links to gangsters’ were made.
In fact, Dr. Navjot Kaur Sidhu recently made serious allegations against Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and several other leaders during a conversation on a private channel. She claimed that Sukhjinder Randhawa had links with gangsters. Apart from this, many other allegations were also made against him. Randhawa immediately responded to these allegations, calling them completely baseless and false. Now, he has sent a legal notice through his lawyer, stating that such statements have caused serious damage to his political and social image and this case amounts to defamation.
