Rajasthan Police, which has been on high alert since the car bomb blast in Delhi, has achieved a major success. Police at the Shrinathji police station have seized a pickup van loaded with illegal explosives. Officials believe the pickup was so heavily laden with explosives that if it had detonated, it could have engulfed an area of approximately 10 kilometers and caused widespread devastation.

Police seized the pickup
According to preliminary information, police received a tip-off that a large quantity of explosives was being transported from the Amet area towards Nathdwara. Upon receiving the information, police arrived at the scene and seized the pickup. The police were stunned by the large quantity of explosives in the pickup and immediately informed their superiors. A team of officers immediately departed for the scene, and counting and investigating the nature of the explosives has begun.
Objectives and Links Investigation
The police are now seriously investigating whether:
- How dangerous is the explosive material?
- Where was it brought from and where was it being taken.
- For what purpose was this material being transported and who is behind it.
The police is busy finding the names that came up during the interrogation of the pickup driver and investigating other aspects related to them.
Suspected terrorist connection
This seizure is significant because security agencies recently arrested four suspected clerics in Rajasthan, one of whom, Osama Umar, was found to have links with the terrorist organization Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Security agencies were already on extra alert following this incident.
However, it’s important to note that in many areas of Rajasthan, deadly explosives are used for blasting for illegal stone mining. The purpose for which these explosives were being transported remains to be determined.
