Eight Muslim and Arab countries have supported US President Donald Trump’s peace initiative to end the Gaza war and prevent the displacement of Palestinians.

Why countries gave support?
On Tuesday, the foreign ministers of Qatar, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Egypt issued a joint statement. He said he had confidence in Trump’s leadership and “honest efforts” to pave the way for peace in the Middle East.
What did the countries say?
Foreign ministers welcomed Trump’s comprehensive plan, which includes rebuilding Gaza, ending the war and halting Israel’s occupation of the West Bank. He expressed his “readiness” to finalize and implement this agreement with the US and other parties.
He made it clear that any permanent solution would only be possible if Gaza was merged with the West Bank to form an independent Palestinian state.
Important points of Shanti Yojana
The White House released this 20-point peace plan on Monday, under which:
- Humanitarian aid will be sent to Gaza unabated.
- Palestinians will not be forcibly displaced.
- All hostages will be released.
- Israel will withdraw completely from Gaza.
- Gaza will be rebuilt and annexed to the West Bank.
- Gaza will be made a “terror-free and extremism-free zone”.
- Members of Hamas who lay down their arms and are willing to coexist peacefully will receive amnesty and a secure future.
- Hamas members who wish to leave Gaza will be sent to safe passage and asylum countries.
Roadmap to End War
According to the plan, the war would stop immediately as soon as both sides agreed. The Israeli army will withdraw to the designated line and preparations will be made for the release of the hostages. All military operations will be suspended during this time. All hostages (living and dead) will be brought back within 72 hours of the agreement. Israel will then release 250 life prisoners and 1,700 Gazans (including women and children) who were arrested after 7 October 2023. For every Israeli hostage, the bodies of 15 Gazans will be returned.
Big relief for Gaza
As soon as the agreement is agreed, large amounts of humanitarian aid will arrive in Gaza. This will include the repair of water, electricity, hospitals, roads, bakeries and sewage systems. Equipment will also be sent to remove debris and open new roads.
