The woman of this couple who had gone to visit Lord Pashupatinath died during treatment, while the husband was found in a relief camp two days later in an injured condition. Last Thursday, the body of the woman was handed over to the Indian family at the Sonauli border of Maharajganj. The body has been taken to Ghaziabad.

Ramveer Singh Gola (age around 58 years) who lives in Master Colony of Nandgram police station area of ​​Ghaziabad, had
gone to Kathmandu with his wife Rajesh Gola (age 55 years) on 7 September. They had gone there to visit Pashupatinath temple. After the visit, both of them were staying at Hyatt Residency Hotel. But on the same night, riots and disturbances started in some areas of Nepal.

Hotel set on fire, couple jumped from fourth floor
Around 11:30 pm on 7th September, miscreants set fire to the hotel. When the fire started spreading fast, the couple jumped from the fourth floor to save their lives. However, the rescue team had laid mattresses below, due to which many people came down safely. But both Ramveer and Rajesh Gola got injured. Meanwhile, miscreants attacked again and there was a stampede. In this chaos, the husband and wife got separated from each other.

The son received a call informing him about his mother’s death.
After this incident, the family could not get any information for two days. Then on Wednesday, son Vishal received a call from Nepal in which he was told that his mother Rajesh Gola had died during treatment. On the other hand, father Ramveer Singh Gola was found injured in a relief camp two days later. He is currently being treated.

Family’s allegation – Negligence in treatment led to death.
When the body was brought to the Indian border at Sonauli on Indo-Nepal border on Thursday, the family members who reached there alleged that the woman did not get timely treatment due to which she died. With the help of the Indian Embassy, ​​the body was brought from Nepal to India and handed over to the family. After this, the body was taken to Ghaziabad, where the last rites will be performed.

Role of Administration and Embassy –
Efforts are on from the Indian Embassy to evacuate and help the Indian citizens trapped in Nepal. The family members and local people are demanding from the administration to ensure the safe return of the rest of the Indians trapped in Nepal as well. As soon as the news of the death of Rajesh Gola reached Ghaziabad, a wave of mourning ran in the locality. People reached the house and started consoling the family. The people of the locality say that this family has been going on religious pilgrimages and is of a very calm nature.
