Russia has achieved a major scientific success in the fight against deadly diseases like cancer. Russian scientists have developed a state-of-the-art mRNA-based vaccine ‘Enteromix’, which has proven to be 100 percent i.e. completely effective and safe in initial trials. This vaccine is now awaiting final approval from the Russian Health Ministry, after which it can be made available to the general public. This vaccine is known as Enteromix and has been developed by FMBA. Agency head Veronika Skvortsova announced this vaccine (mRNA cancer vaccine) at the Eastern Economic Forum 2025.
What is Enteromics vaccine?
‘Enteromics’ is a personalized cancer vaccine, that is, it is prepared according to the cancer type of each patient and the body’s immune system. It is based on mRNA technology – the same technology that has been successfully used in earlier Covid-19 vaccines. This technology trains the body’s immune system to recognize and destroy cancer cells.
How does this vaccine work?
Scientists claim that this vaccine: Attacks cancer cells with the help of four special viruses without harming the body. Is capable of reducing large tumors. Gives strength to fight cancer by strengthening the immune system. And most importantly – no serious side effects have been reported in the trials related to it.
Trial and success story
Clinical trials of this vaccine were conducted in various medical institutions in Russia, in which 48 patients took part. This vaccine has been developed by joint efforts of the Engelhardt Institute of Molecular Biology of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) and the National Medical Research Radiological Center.
The results of the trials were very encouraging:
– Patients tolerated the vaccine well.
– In most cases, the size of the tumor decreased.
– In some cases, the cancer was completely eliminated.
