During a high-profile encounter in Haryana’s Gurugram district, the STF and Crime Branch have busted a major criminal conspiracy. Five sharp shooters who targeted popular singer Rahul Yadav alias Fazilpuria have been arrested by the police after an encounter. The operation was carried out in Wazirpur area, where during the firing, four attackers were shot in the legs while one was chased and caught.
Suspected attack on Fazilpuria had already happened before.
This action is directly related to the attack which was carried out on 14th July 2025 at Fazilpuria on SPR Road in Gurugram. That day, Singer was traveling in his Mahindra Thar car, when the assailants in a car chased him and opened fire. Luckily, Fazilpuria escaped unhurt, but the windows of his car were broken and the assailants fled.
The conspiracy was linked to a gangster network.
The five arrested attackers are from different districts of Haryana and according to the police, all of them were working on the instructions of notorious gangsters Deepak Nandal and Rohit Sirdhania based abroad.
They are identified as follows:
-Vinod Pahalwan (Jhajjar)
-Padam aka Raja (Sonepat)
-Shubham aka Kala
-Gautam aka Gogi
-Ashish aka Ashu
Four of the assailants were shot and injured during the encounter, while the fifth was rounded up by the police and arrested on the spot. The investigation was already underway, two more suspects had already been arrested. The police had earlier arrested two suspects as part of the investigation into the first attack on the singer.
Vishal (Sonepat): Arrested on July 16, accused of carrying out the racket of Singh and giving information to the attackers.
Ramandeep alias Patrol (Sirsa): Was caught after an encounter on August 8.
The police also seized the Tata Punch car that was used during the attack. During the investigation, a mobile phone and other digital evidence were recovered from Vishal’s possession, and the activities of the assailants were captured on CCTV.
The gang claimed responsibility for the attack
Two days after the sensational attack, a person named Sunil Sirdhania, who was said to be associated with the Himanshu Bhau gang, posted a post on social media claiming responsibility for the attack. After this, the Gurugram Police started taking the security of Fazilpuria seriously.
Police’s strict message
This joint action of Gurugram Police and STF not only saved the life of a famous singer, but also thwarted the plans of the gangster network. Currently, the five shooters are in police custody and interrogation is ongoing. Officials say that after these arrests, many more layers of the gangster network may be revealed.
