Although a ceasefire has been implemented between Iran and Israel recently after 12 days of war, verbal attacks are still ongoing. The supreme leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, warned Israel once again and said that it is like a cancer, which must be eradicated from the root. Khamenei compared Israel to a dog and said that it is tied to the leash of America and that affects its every decision. He clearly said that Iran has no qualms about confronting America and its pet Israel and it should not back down.
Khamenei claimed that even if there is a ceasefire for now, Israel cannot be trusted. An attack can happen at any time and if there is an attack, Iran will respond with full force. He said that even in the 12-day war of last month, Iran had taught Israel a hard lesson and the next time the response will be tougher. The US claims that this has significantly reduced Iran’s uranium reserves, but Israel’s intelligence agencies say that Iran still has enough uranium that it can regain its strength in a few months.
Israel has also recently taken military action in Syria and Lebanon. Even in Gaza, peace has not been fully restored. Israel has set the condition that the conflict can be ended if the people of Gaza settle in the limited area of the south, but there is no consensus on this proposal. This statement by Khamenei clearly indicates that Iran is not going to bow to any pressure and that it will be ready for a confrontation with both America and Israel.
