After spending 18 days on the International Space Station (ISS) and successfully carrying out many important scientific experiments, Indian origin astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla is now fully prepared to return to earth. He and three other astronauts will begin their return journey on July 14 as part of the Axiom-4 mission. According to NASA, their safe landing on Earth is scheduled for 15 July at 3:00 pm (Indian time).

263 kg ‘scientific treasure’ returning from space
NASA has informed that the astronauts involved in this mission are returning with many rare and important scientific materials from space. These include 580 pounds (about 263 kg) of scientific equipment, NASA’s space hardware, and data from more than 60 science experiments. All these experiments have been done in space and are considered very important for future space technology and medical science.
All the scientific experiments of the Axiom-4 crew have been completed and now the process of their return has begun. The process of ‘undocking’ from the space station will begin on July 14 at 4:35 pm IST (7:05 am local time).
