He has announced the formation of a new political party in America which is named ‘America Party’. The announcement comes after a recent public spat between Musk and President Donald Trump that led to Musk’s exit from the administration and the now-defunct Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). During that time, he led controversial efforts to cut federal spending and cut government jobs.
The ‘America Party’ was formed to give you back your freedom.
Citing the results of a recent survey, Musk wrote, “The Party of America Today was formed to give you back your freedom.” He claimed that the people in the survey showed a clear desire for a new political option in the ratio of 2:1.
In his announcement, Musk strongly criticized the current American political system, saying, “When it comes to bankrupting our country with waste and corruption, we live in a one-party system, not a democracy.”
Musk’s sharp criticism of Trump’s ‘One Big Beautiful Bill’
In recent weeks, the tension between Musk and Trump has increased significantly, the main reason for which is Trump’s new law, which is called “One Big Beautiful Bill”. The bill passed both houses of Congress and became law on July 4, drawing sharp criticism from Musk.
Musk, who previously served as a top adviser in the Trump administration and led cost-cutting efforts through the Department of Government Efficiency, criticized Trump’s tax and spending bill for potentially adding $3.3 trillion to the national debt over the next ten years.
