It is raining heavily in most parts of Himachal Pradesh. Life has been badly affected by the continuous rains. At the same time, due to rain, the water level of most of the rivers and canals of the state has reached a dangerous level.
Pandoh Dam located in Mandi district has been completely filled due to which all its five gates have been opened to control the water level. At present, 44 thousand cusecs of water is being released from the dam. Due to the flow of this water, the water level in the Beas Darya is continuously increasing, due to which the Mandi District Administration and the Municipal Corporation are alerting the people through loudspeakers.

People have been asked not to go to the river banks and stay in safe places. This rising water of Beas Darya is now moving towards Paung Dam through Sandhol, Sujanpur, Naidoon and Dehra, where its water level may rise further. The water will then enter the Talwara region of Punjab, causing flooding in low-lying areas.
Meanwhile, the market pit has also taken a terrible shape. This ravine meets the Beas river about 10 kilometers from Pandoh Dam. If the rains continue like this, the water level may rise further, causing flood-like conditions in low-lying areas. The administration has asked people to be vigilant and follow the warnings of the Meteorological Department. Disaster management teams are on alert mode and ready to deal with any emergency.
