Javed Akhtar supported Diljit, saying – If the poor man knew that this would happen, then he was a little crazy to take Hania.

Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh has been mired in controversies over his film Sardaar Ji. Actually, he has worked with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in this film, due to which he is facing criticism on social media. At a time when relations between India and Pakistan have become sensitive, many people have been upset by an Indian star working with a Pakistani actress. Meanwhile, Diljit Dosanjh, surrounded by controversies, has now got the support of lyricist Javed Akhtar. He believes that if Diljit had an idea while making the film that the situation was going to deteriorate, then he would not have worked with any Pakistani actress. But now the film should be released with an instruction from the Censor Board.

Recently, Javed Akhtar was questioned about working with Diljit Dosanjh’s Hania Aamir. Also it was said that his claim is that the film has been made before. On this, Javed Akhtar said in support of Dosanjh, ‘I don’t know when this picture was made. Wo kya kare bechara. What’s next, he didn’t know that. He invested money, Pakistan’s money will not sink in it. Money will sink our Hindustani people. So what’s the use of it?’

He further said, ‘If I made a rule today, it cannot be applied to anything before 10 today. It is not practical. That poor man knew that this was going to happen, so he was crazy enough to take that actress (Hania Aamir). I think that the government and the censor board should look at this with compassion. They should say that you don’t come, but you should release it, but now you don’t do it again.’

Javed further said – ‘When Hindustan and Pakistan were in a good time, when there was no such situation, they made movies together, in the film, there were artists who were there, writers there, writers there. Our technology is very superior, they don’t have such technology, but they have excellent writers. If there was a signed script with the clearance of both the countries and the clearance of the government’s censor board, then whatever happened in it would have been a better friendship. There is no competition in art. It could have been, but now the situation has deteriorated so much that it is not necessary to even think about it at this time.’
