Punjab Police on Wednesday arrested another YouTuber Jasbir Singh, who has reached more than 11 lakh subscribers through his channel “Jaan Mahal”. According to police officials, Jasbir Singh is accused of being associated with a Pakistan-backed espionage network.

Jasbir Singh, a resident of Mahalan village in Rupnagar district, has been detained by the Mohali-based State Special Operations Cell (SSOC) based on a tip-off. Jasbir Singh is the second digital content creator to be arrested recently after Jyoti Malhotra from Haryana, with whom he also had regular conversations.
According to Punjab Police, Jasbir Singh had close links with Shakir alias Jutt Randhawa, a suspected agent of Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI, who is of Indian origin and works for Pakistan. Apart from this, he was also associated with a Pakistani citizen named Iman-ur-Rahim alias Danish, who has previously been expelled from India on charges of espionage and has worked in the Pakistan High Commission.
