Punjab Kings have finally made it to the IPL finals for the second time since 2014, shattering Mumbai Indians’ dream of winning the IPL title for the sixth time. In the Qualifier 2 match played at Ahmedabad ground, Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer scored at a strike rate of 200 and took Punjab Kings to the final. Earlier, Punjab won the toss and decided to bowl first. It rained before the match started which caused a delay. Playing first, Mumbai scored 203 runs for the loss of 6 wickets, thanks to Bairstow’s 38, Tilak Verma’s 44, Suryakumar Yadav’s 44 and Naman Dheer’s 37 runs. Punjab, playing in reply, lost the openers early. But thanks to Josh Inglis’ 38, Nehal Wadehra’s 48 and Shreyas Iyer’s unbeaten 87, Punjab won the match by 5 wickets.
