Famous Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala’s father Balkaur Singh has made a big decision to step into politics. He has made it clear that he will contest from the Mansa seat in the 2027 Punjab assembly elections. He made this announcement in an interview given to a private channel. Balkaur Singh said that he is entering politics to carry forward the legacy of his son Sidhu Moosewala and strengthen the fight for justice for him.
Balkaur Singh said in his statement, ‘I will definitely contest the election. Only by coming inside the system can we raise the issue of justice.’ He also taunted the Chief Minister of Punjab and said that every talk of the Chief Minister is proven wrong. They make many promises to win the elections. He said on the CM’s claims of Goldie Brar’s arrest that he did not need to comment on it because every claim of the Chief Minister was false.
This announcement has come two days before the anniversary of Sidhu Moosewala, which has raised new hopes among his supporters. However, Balkaur Singh has not yet revealed which party’s ticket he will contest on.
In 2022, Sidhu Moosewala also contested the election from Mansa
