Center has approved deployment of CISF force at Bhakra Dam Project amid the ongoing dispute between Punjab and Haryana over the allocation of water. A total 296 posts of Central Industrial Security Force personnel have been created for induction in to the security wing of the project.
A letter to this effect has been sent to the Director (Security and Consultancy) of the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB).
