The Indian Army has clarified that no such decision has been taken regarding the speculations about ending the ceasefire between India and Pakistan. The army has said that the ceasefire is still in force and there has been no talk of ending it. The Indian Army said in its statement, “No DGMO level talks are scheduled today. As far as the ceasefire agreed in the May 12 DGMO talks is concerned, no time frame has been fixed.”

Increased stress after Operation Sindoor
After the recent Operation Sindoor launched by India, there is a situation of tension between India and Pakistan. The cities of India were targeted by drones and missiles from Pakistan, to which the Indian army also gave a strong response.
A ceasefire agreement was signed on May 10
An agreement was reached between India and Pakistan on the evening of May 10 regarding the ceasefire. After this, on May 12, there was a conversation between the DGMOs (Director General of Military Operations) of both the countries, in which many important decisions were taken to maintain the ceasefire.
Even after the ceasefire, there was an attack from Pakistan
A few hours after the implementation of the ceasefire on May 10, Pakistan attacked several areas of India. After this attack, the Indian Army also retaliated and targeted Pakistani positions.
Indian government’s strict message to Pakistan
Before this attack, the Indian government had taken a big decision on terrorism. The government has said that if any terrorist incident takes place in the future, it will be considered an “act of war against India”. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also made it clear that if Pakistan continues to support terrorism, India will not hold any talks with its government.
