BSF jawan Purnam Sahu, who belongs to West Bengal, accidentally crossed into Pakistan border. More than 80 hours have passed since this incident, but till now Pakistan has not handed over the jawan to India. No concrete response has been received from Pakistan regarding the return of the jawan.

Purnam Sahu is a constable in the 182nd battalion. They were taking the farmers to the fence near the border, when they accidentally crossed into the Pak border. They were in uniform and had a service rifle. Then Pak Rangers caught him.
BSF has so far held three flag meetings with Pakistan Rangers to bring back the jawan, but each time Pakistan has hesitated and refused to hand over the jawan.
The family of the young man, especially his father, is very worried about the safety of his son. At the same time, the BSF officials are continuously trying for the safe return of the jawan. All the units on the India-Pakistan border have been put on high alert and now preparations are being made for talks at the field commander level.
