Mansa Court has pronounced a verdict on Wednesday in the murder case of late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. The Mansa District Court, while hearing the case of escaping from police custody, has sentenced and fined a gangster and a dismissed police officer.
In the verdict given by the court in the case related to the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, gangster Deepak Tinu has been sentenced to two years in prison and a fine of two thousand rupees and dismissed CIA staff in-charge Preetpal Singh has been sentenced to one year and 11 months in prison and a fine of five thousand rupees. Along with this, eight accused have been acquitted.

Gangster Deepak Tinu, who was arrested in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case, escaped from the police custody of CIA staff on October 1, 2020. The blame for this was placed on CIA staff in-charge Pritpal Singh. Immediately after this incident, DGP Punjab dismissed CIA staff in-charge Pritpal Singh from his job. According to the police, in this case, one illegal pistol was recovered from Bittu, two from Chirag and three pistols from Pritpal Singh’s house.
The police had named Deepak Tinu’s girlfriend Jatinder Jyoti, Deepak Tinu’s brother Chirag, Kuldeep Kohli, Bittu, Rajinder Gora, Sunil Lohia, Sarvjot Singh and Rajveer Singh for helping him escape from police custody, but they have been acquitted.
