Pump employee Gautam died in indiscriminate firing by unidentified persons late last night at the Bharat Petroleum petrol pump located in village Mangt, falling under police station Majitha. It is being told that he was shot in the chest and died while being taken to the hospital. The other employees Amit and Arpan were seriously injured.
According to the information received on the spot, when some unknown persons came to the pump to fill oil, the pump was closed, due to which the employees refused to fill the oil. On this, the unidentified persons started firing indiscriminately, due to which Gautam, a resident of UP, got shot in the chest and died while being taken to the hospital.
The second employee, Amit, was shot in the jaw and the third employee, Arpan, was also injured by the bullet. In this regard, DSP Majitha Amolak Singh and SHO Majitha Prabhjeet Singh reached the spot with the police party and took stock of the entire situation and took further action. It is not yet clear whether there was any looting or any other damage to the pump during this period.
