At the Premiere of Soekarno: Indonesia Merdeka in Singapore, the Producer of the film, Raam Punjabi shared that his hopes on the movie and the young generation of Indonesia. With this movie, Raam hopes to inspire the younger generation to be more actively involved in nation building and want to inspire the young Indonesians to be productive rather than appending the life in amusement.
He said “We need a lot of Soekarno from the young generation of Indonesia to lead the country to a better place in the world.” Soekarno movie will be releasing in Malaysia and Hong Kong and many other. The movie is all set to compete in Tokyo International Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival.
