One of the producers, Sandeep Singh of Fateh Sports Club, told on social media that the movie was sent for CBFC clearance on February 02, 2015. He said that the movie was banned by CBFC on March 03, 2015.

“We have received a letter from CBFC which says that ‘the Borad has come to the conclusion that a certificate can not be issued for its (Patta Patta Singhan Da Vairi movie’s) exhibition”.

Reasons for grant of “Refused” Certificate to the film:

The CBFC has given following reasons for refusing clearance certificate to the movie-

“Attack on Gurdwar, killing innocent people not in good taste, torture on women, brutality and beating of innocents in Police station and abusive words for women and the movie fails to convey any message to society.”

Sandeep Singh declared to appeal to the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal (FCAT) against decision of the CBFC.

The movie was set to be released globally on April 03.
