The Chandigarh Police have set up nakas at 18 key entry points with 1240 police personnel which includes senior officers, deployed to manage the situation
Each checkpoint is supervising by a DSP rank officer, asssited by an inspector.
More then 100 cops are present at the Matair barrier on the road seprating Sectoe 51 and 52 where sevral protest have been held in the past.
Other then this high security locations include the Furniture market barrier and Mullanpur barrier both witnessing heavy deployment of cops.
Today traffic movement is regulated on many roads to make sure smooth vehicular flow and public safety. The police have urged commuters to plan their routes accordingly.
Commuters have been advised to avoid Zirakpur barrier, Faidan barrier, Sectors 48/49 road, Sectors 49/50 road, Sectors 50/51 (Jail Road), Sectors 51/52 (Mataur barrier), Sectors 52/53 (Kajheri chowk), Sectors 53/54 (furniture market), Sectors 54/55 (Badheri barrier), Sectors 55/56 (Palsora barrier), Nayagaon and Mullanpur barriers.
