Punjab Education Minister Harjit Singh Bains said if Punjabi is taught without being the main subject in Punjab Schools the class 10th Certificate will be considered null and void. Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has made it mandatory for all schools in the state irrespective of educational board whether its Punjab state board of CBSE board to teach Punjabi as a main and compulsory subject.
Addressing a press conference on Wednesday Punjab education ministed Harjot Singh Bains said government has issued fresh notification with immediate effects Punjabi will be the main subject for 10th class under any education board. If Punjabi will not be taught as main subject then class 10th certificate will ve considered as null and void.
Punjab Education minister also accused Union Government and the CBSE of dropping Punjabi from the list of the subjects for 10th class board exams. He said ite clear conspiracy against Punjab, Punjabi and Punjabiyat.
