Chandigarh, 1 Dec 2014 : Punjabi singer turned politician and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader K. S. Makhan has extended support to ‘morcha’ seeking permanent release of those Sikh political prisoners who have completed the terms of their sentences.
It is notable that various Punjabi singers had visited Gurdwara Amb Sahib last year when Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khasla was observing hunger strike on this issue. Gurbaksh Singh’s struggle had gained massive momentum but then he ended his hunger strike at the ‘directions’ of Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh.
Organizers of the morcha say that Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa resumed his hunger strike after one year on Nov. 14, 2014 after Giani Gurbachan Singh did not kept his promise to secure release of these ‘bandi Singhs’. Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa is camping at Gurdwara Lakhnaur Sahib in Ambala.
K.S. Makhan is first Punjabi singer to extend support to Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa this year.
“Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.
