Famous Punjabi singer and music director Parmish Verma was shot at by some men in Mohali on Friday night ( . Parmish has been admitted in Fortis hospital.A facebook page claiming to be that of gangster Dilpreet Singh, has put up a post saying he shot at singer Parmish Verma.
Parmish Verma, 31, is a popular Punjabi singer and shot to fame with the Punjabi hit ‘Gaal ni kadni(Don’t abuse)’. The song released last year has 118 million views on YouTube. The popularity of the song coincided with the state police’s crackdown on gangsters. Released three weeks ago, his single, Shada, has got 27 million views on YouTube.
Parmish’s father, Satish Kumar Verma, a former professor of Punjabi at Punjabi University, Patiala, is also a playwright and theatre director.
