India win by 76 runs to make it 6-0 in World Cups against Pakistan:ICC World Cup 2015

Adelaide, Feb 15 ,2015:The much awaited India-Pakistan match is over us, and now we have India as they win by 76 runs to make it 6-0 in World Cups against Pakistan in their first Pool B match of the World Cup at the Adelaide Oval here Sunday.India rode on vice-captain Virat Kohli’s 107 to score 300/7. Kohli got good support from opener Shikhar Dhawan (73) and Suresh Raina (74). For Pakistan, fast-bowler Sohail Khan took five wickets to restrict India in the fag-end of the innings.

In reply, Pakistan were bowled out for 224. Skipper Misbah-ul-Haq (76) battled hard but ran out of partners. Pacer Mohammed Shami was the pick of the Indian bowlers taking four wickets for 35 runs in his nine overs.

India once again came out on top in the high-octane clash to defeat Pakistan in their World Cup opener at the picturesque Adelaide Oval. A special century by vice-captain Virat Kohli (107) guided India to 300/7 which Pakistan failed to chase down, being bowled out for 224 in 47 overs.
