Disturbing studies in colleges for Movie promotion is wrongful Babbu Mann

Chandigarh: Punjabi singer turned actor Babbu Mann criticized the practice adopted by Punjabi film makers and actors to visit colleges for the promotion of their upcoming movies. In an interview to a Punjabi TV channel (PTC Punjabi) regarding his latest movie “Baaz”, Babbu Mann said social media, newspapers, television and interviews are enough means for promotion of movies and there was no need to go to colleges for the promotions of the movies.

“Schools, colleges are ‘temples’ of the Education. These institutes are meant for education. My opinion is that the studies of students should not be disturbed for promotion of movies.” said Babbu Mann.

On the issue of star nights in colleges lead character of movie Baaz said that it’s for the students and the managements to decide in this regard. “If once in a year students want to listen to some artists it’s their choice. But Punjabi movies are being released every week, if every film production team goes colleges it would result in disturbance of classes and studies.

Babbu Mann said that whole team of Baaz did hard-work to make this movie and it was for viewers to rank the movie.

“My job is to get the theaters jam packed on first day, after that the work done by director and inputs of producer would be under tested” Babbu Mann added.

Babbu Mann said that if the viewers find the movie worth it they should clap, if not they should slap  “Film changi laggi te tari maar deo, je na changi laggi te gaal kadd deo”.

He said that the songs of the movie have already been given massive response by the listeners.
